EDIT: YAY!!! I just beat my sims racing game (DS) It was really fun, but in the last race i kept falling off the track into deep space... it was still awesome though. Im going to try and beat it again!

This weekend i saw a couple anime movies...

Howls moving castle, Origin: Spirits of the Past, and Air: the Motion Picture. They were all really good. I would recommend them all, but i must say that Air was really sad.
I have now seen 6 out of 8 Miyazaki films. the only ones i have yet to see are Castle in the Sky and Ponyo on the cliff by the sea.

◆When did you start drawing? What did you draw?
ive been drawing since i could hold a pencil.

◆Which hand do you use for drawing?
right

◆Which is easier to draw - male or female?
ummm... well, male. except i seem to be able to only draw female eyes. which looks really weird when put together.

◆Which is easier to draw - long hair or short hair?
short.

◆Is it easier to draw the head facing towards the right or the left?
either, i think i draw them facing to the left more.

◆Is it easier to draw the side view of the face or the front view?
i cant draw profile, and find it hard to draw perfectly head on so... in the middle?

◆What do you have problems in drawing?
hands, feet, backgrounds, the usual

◆What do you like to draw?
people! and the occasional cat or dog

◆Are you a traditional artist or a digital artist?
both. i mostly draw the lineart on paper and color digitally. that might changge since i got my markers(copics)

◆Where do you start drawing from?
mostly a basic head shape, if im feeling really artistic sometimes i start with the hair or the eyes.

◆What is your drawing habit that you are aware of?
im a perfectionist who never gets her way (because my pictures look sooo much better in my head than on paper)
i also seem to have very frequent art blocks. they do seem to love me.

◆What do you keep in mind when you do lineart?
have clean lines, draw lightly in pencil so that it is easier to erase once i have gone over it in pen.

◆Any tips for coloring/shading?
keep in mind where the light source is coming from when shading. that way you dont end up with multiple light sources, which can get pretty complicated.

another thing, (idk i everyone else does this, but i do it a lot) remember that the shiny parts in the eyes also have to follow the light source.

◆How long does it take to finish a piece of art?
if its just a simple sketch, about 10 min.
anything more serious and i end up spending many, many hours on it.

◆What music do you listen to while you draw?
pretty much anything

◆How long does it take you to come up with an idea?
ideas like to come at moments that are most inconvenient to me. i never take too much time to tink about something. it either hits me in a sudden burst of inspiration, or it never comes at all.

◆Your favorite drawing utensils?
BIC #2 0.7 mm mechanical pencil, pentel clic erasers, micron 005 and 01 ink pens, faber castell artists pen(fine), uni-ball signo pen, prang colored pencils, crayola colored pencils, roseart colored pencils, prisma color colored pencils, another brand of colored pencils i cant remember, copic markers, the occasional set of ultra fine point sharpies, tablet and pen (comp mouse if im desperate), to name a few.

◆Your favorite color/the color that you use a lot?
my fave=green, the one i use the most=blue (its everywhere!)

◆Your favorite style(s)?
i mostly draw the big-eyed anime version, but i like just about anything.

◆Are you satisfied with your current art?
yes. the only thing i dont like is when i draw fanart, i tend to lean towards the original aartists style.

◆What kind of artist are you aiming for?
professional quality anime/manga artwork. my friend wants me to be a mangaka when i get older, but i want to work at pixar.
